American Grant Association
Terms and Conditions

Welcome to American Grant Association

Thank you for choosing American Grant Association to help you navigate the grant-seeking process. We're here to make finding and applying for grants easier, more accessible, and less overwhelming.

Before you use our services, please take a few minutes to read through these Terms and Conditions. We've written them in plain English (no legal mumbo-jumbo, we promise) so you know exactly what to expect from us and what we need from you.

By using our website at americangrantassociation.org or signing up for any of our services, you're agreeing to these terms. If something doesn't make sense or you have questions, please reach out to us at support@americangrantassociation.org.

1. Who We Are and What We Do

American Grant Association is a grant research and support service. We help individuals, nonprofits, small businesses, students, researchers, and organizations discover grant opportunities they might be eligible for—without spending countless hours searching on their own.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Grant Research Services – We search for federal, state, private, and foundation grants that match your profile and needs
  • Grant Matching Service – We connect you with grant opportunities specifically suited to your circumstances
  • Resource Guidance Services – We provide templates, tips, and guidance to help strengthen your grant applications
  • Community Support Services – Access to resources, forums, and support from others on the same grant-seeking journey

What we don’t do:

  • We don’t guarantee you’ll win any grant
  • We don’t submit grant applications on your behalf (unless explicitly stated in a specific service package)
  • We’re not a government agency and we’re not affiliated with any federal, state, or local government
  • We don’t provide legal, financial, or tax advice

2. Using Our Website and Services

Account Registration

When you sign up for our services, you’ll need to provide accurate information. Please keep your login credentials secure and don’t share your account with others. You’re responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

If you notice any unauthorized use of your account, let us know immediately.

Acceptable Use

We trust you’ll use our services responsibly. That means:

  • Don’t use our platform to do anything illegal or harmful
  • Don’t try to hack, scrape, or disrupt our website
  • Don’t share or resell our proprietary grant research or resources without permission
  • Don’t spam or harass other community members
  • Be respectful in our community forums and support areas

If we notice misuse, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately.

3. Our Services and What You Can Expect

Service Descriptions

Each service we offer comes with its own specific scope and deliverables. When you purchase a service, you’ll receive a clear description of what’s included, timelines, and what we’ll deliver.

Grant Research Services: We’ll conduct thorough research based on the information you provide and deliver a customized list of grant opportunities you may qualify for.

Grant Matching Service: Our experts meticulously analyze your profile, conduct in-depth research across trusted grant sources, and curate personalized opportunities from our comprehensive database.

Resource Guidance Services: You’ll get access to application templates, writing tips, budgeting tools, and other resources to improve your grant proposals.

Community Support Services: Connect with others seeking grants, ask questions, share experiences, and learn from our community knowledge base.

Service Delivery Timeframes

We work hard to deliver results quickly, but grant research takes time. Typical delivery timeframes will be outlined when you purchase a service. Delays can happen due to factors beyond our control (like government database downtime or incomplete information from you), but we’ll always inform you if timelines change.

Your Responsibilities

To help us help you, we need accurate and complete information. The quality of our grant matches depends on what you tell us about your situation, goals, and eligibility criteria.

If your circumstances change (like a change in income, location, or project scope), please update your profile so we can provide the most relevant opportunities.

4. Pricing, Payments, and Refunds

Service Fees

Our pricing is clearly displayed on our website for each service. We believe in affordable access to grant resources, and we work hard to keep our fees reasonable.

All prices are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. Payment is typically required upfront before service delivery begins.

Subscription Services

Some of our services operate on a subscription basis (monthly or annual). When you subscribe:

  • You’ll be automatically charged at the beginning of each billing cycle
  • You can cancel anytime, but there are no partial refunds for unused portions of your subscription period
  • We’ll notify you before any price changes take effect
Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with our services. Here’s our refund approach:

For one-time services: If we haven’t started work on your grant research, you can request a full refund within 48 hours of purchase. Once we’ve delivered your customized research, sales are final (because we’ve already done the work specific to you).

For subscription services: Here’s how cancellation and refunds work for our subscription-based services:

– To stop auto-pay or cancel your service: You must email us at support@americangrantassociation.org before your next billing cycle begins

– No refunds once a billing cycle starts: Once a billing cycle has begun and you’ve been charged and we have started work on it, we cannot provide refunds for that period—even if you cancel immediately after

– Your access continues until cycle ends: When you cancel, you’ll retain full access to our services through the end of your current paid billing cycle

– Timing is critical: To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, your cancellation request must reach us before that cycle starts. If you email us after the new billing cycle has already begun and payment has been processed, no refund will be issued for that period

– Accidental charges after cancellation: If you submit your cancellation request before the next billing cycle begins, and you still get charged due to a processing error on our end, we will provide a full refund for that charge

For subscription services: You can cancel anytime, but we don’t offer refunds for partial months or periods already paid for. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing cycle.

Exceptional circumstances: If you’re genuinely unhappy with our service quality or we didn’t deliver what we promised, reach out to us directly at support@americangrantassociation.org. We’ll work with you to make it right, whether that’s additional research, service credits, or in some cases, a refund.

To request a refund or cancel your subscription, email us at support@americangrantassociation.org with your order number and reason for the request.

5. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

Grant Research and Reports

The grant research reports and matching results we provide are for your personal or organizational use only. You can use them to apply for grants, but please don’t share our reports publicly or resell them to others.

User-Generated Content

If you participate in our community forums or submit testimonials, you’re giving us permission to use that content on our website and marketing materials. We’ll never use your personal information in ways that would embarrass you or violate your privacy.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy matters to us. We collect and use your personal information solely to provide our services and improve your experience.

What we collect:

  • Contact information (name, email, phone)
  • Demographic and eligibility information (to match you with grants)
  • Payment information (processed securely through third-party providers)
  • Website usage data (to improve our platform)

How we use it:

  • To send you relevant grant opportunities (if you’ve opted in)
  • To improve our services and website functionality

What we don’t do:

  • We never sell your personal information to third parties
  • We don’t share your data with grant-making organizations without your explicit consent
  • We don’t spam you with irrelevant marketing

For complete details, please read our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations

No Guarantee of Grant Awards

Let’s be crystal clear: using our services does not guarantee you’ll receive any grant funding. Grant awards depend on many factors completely outside our control, including:

  • The competitiveness of applicant pools
  • Funding availability at the time of application
  • How well your application is written and presented
  • Whether you meet all eligibility requirements
  • Decisions made by grant review committees

We provide research, matching, and guidance—but ultimately, winning a grant depends on your application quality and the grantor’s decision.

Information Accuracy

We work hard to provide accurate, up-to-date information about grant opportunities. However:

  • Grant programs can change their requirements, deadlines, or funding amounts without notice
  • We rely on publicly available information from government databases and grant-making organizations
  • We’re not responsible for errors in the original source materials
  • Always verify grant details directly with the grant-making organization before applying
Service Availability

We strive to keep our website available 24/7, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control might cause temporary downtime. We’re not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to external resources, government grant databases, or other helpful websites. We don’t control these third-party sites and aren’t responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

We provide our services “as is” and make no warranties, express or implied, about their fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • American Grant Association is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services
  • Our total liability for any claims related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for those services
  • We’re not responsible for losses resulting from your inability to access our services, use of information from our services, or third-party actions

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold American Grant Association harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms and Conditions
  • Your misuse of our services
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
  • Content you submit to our community platforms

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions occasionally to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices.

When we make changes:

  • We’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page
  • For significant changes, we’ll notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website
  • Your continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms

We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed.

11. Cancellation and Termination

Your Right to Cancel

You can cancel subscription services anytime by contacting us directly at support@americangrantassociation.org. Your access will continue through the end of your current billing period.

Our Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services if:

  • You violate these Terms and Conditions
  • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • You misuse our platform or community spaces
  • Your account has been inactive for an extended period
  • We discontinue our services entirely

If we terminate your account for violations, you won’t receive a refund for any unused services.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Informal Resolution First

If you have a problem with our services, please contact us. We’re committed to resolving issues fairly and quickly without formal legal proceedings. Most concerns can be addressed through direct communication.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which American Grant Association is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration Agreement

If we can’t resolve a dispute informally, you agree that any claims will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law. This means:

  • Either party can require arbitration for disputes
  • Arbitration will be conducted by a neutral arbitrator
  • The arbitration decision is final and binding
  • You waive your right to participate in class-action lawsuits

Small claims court remains an option for qualifying disputes.

13. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy and any specific service agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and American Grant Association.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision doesn’t constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment

You can’t transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may assign our rights and obligations to another entity if our business is acquired or merged.

Contact Information

These terms don’t create any third-party beneficiary rights or agency, partnership, or joint venture relationships.
